MALLORY WARE, MA, CMHC

One of the scariest parts of therapy is finding a therapist you can connect with. It is hard to be vulnerable with some one who you don't vibe with.

Now for a chance to actually get to know me...

I wanted to be a therapist for as long as I can remember. It's just who I am. My friends growing up literally had a pretend therapist title for me (Dr. Susanna Norris) I was that friend that everyone went to with their problems.

I am not stuffy and clinical. In fact I believe swear words and humor can be an important part of the healing process :)

My clients appreciate that I can be gentle and warm but also call them out on things. I am good at helping you untangle your thoughts and gain clarity in your life. I'm not afraid of tears. Part of my role involves holding space for clients to feel a full range of emotions. Sometimes it can feel scary to say things out loud. I can assure that there is nothing that you can say to me that will shock me at this point :)

I graduated from Utah Valley University with a Bachelor's in Behavioral Science. I have a Master's in Mental Health Counseling from University of Phoenix. I have worked in the mental health field for over 10 years in residential, outpatient, and community clinic settings with various populations. Which all led me to understanding who I work well with and why I love what I do!

I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and have witnessed some incredible changes in my own life and my clients lives because of it.
